I have been living in Charleston for a few months now and have really gotten the chance to soak up many of the greatest gems Charleston has to offer. I wanted to provide you with your ultimate guide for spring breaking it in CHS. Below I have listed out many of my favorite/well-known restaurants, coffee shops, shopping spots, things to do, and places to grab drinks - as well as some honorable mentions. Whether you're a foodie, a shopaholic, or just looking for some fun in the sun, Charleston has something for everyone. From rooftop brunches with skyline views to beachy bars on Shem Creek, get ready for an unforgettable spring break adventure. Restaurants You Can't Miss
Church & Union
Experience the incredible vibes, delicious food, and crafty cocktails at Church & Union. This place is a must-visit, and reservations are highly recommended. After dinner, head over to Henry’s for a nightcap.
Victor’s Steakhouse
For a more upscale dining experience, Victor’s Steakhouse offers a wonderful atmosphere with excellent wine and steak options. The service is top-notch, making it a staple in Charleston.
Tavern & Table
Located on the stunning Shem Creek, Tavern & Table combines elegant and beachy vibes. The menu has something for everyone, and the location is perfect with easy parking and proximity to popular bars like Reds, Saltwater Cowboys, and Shelter.
O-Ku
A local favorite for sushi lovers, O-Ku offers a dark and vibey atmosphere at night. Reservations are suggested, and even non-sushi lovers will find something to enjoy on the menu. Located downtown on King St, parking can be tricky but worth it.

One of my favorite rooftop restaurants, The Watch is great for brunch, lunch, or dinner. With a casual vibe, TVs, a bar, and both indoor and outdoor seating, it’s a go-to spot. Don’t miss their truffle fries and cocktails while enjoying the Charleston skyline.
Millers All Day
This cute diner is perfect for brunch with its incredible menu and fun cocktails. Located downtown on King St, start your day here with mimosas and brunch before shopping the day away.
Shopping Hot Spots
King St
The main attraction for shopping, King St is lined with shops for a leisurely stroll. For the guys, there are stores like Tecovas and Chubbies.
Get Carried Away
An adorable coffee shop, restaurant, and gift shop in Mount Pleasant near Shem Creek. It’s a great place to grab a charming gift or keepsake.
Wynsum Antiques & Interiors
Perfect for a girls' day out, this antique store offers a charming shopping experience. Grab coffee or food at The Daily before heading over.
Bobbles & Lace
Located on King St, this boutique offers clothes, jewelry, and a friendly atmosphere. It’s a must-visit during your downtown adventure. The girls who run the store are absolutely adorable. B&L has something for everyone and it’s the perfect place to grab a piece of Charleston! Bobbles & Lace is only in a few cities making the selection special to CHS!
Marsh & Magnolia

Sorelle’s
Aesthetic and boujee, Sorelle’s offers incredible coffee and pastries. It’s a perfect spot for pictures with street parking available. This might be my favorite coffee shop… shhhhh!
Island Provisions
A cozy coffee shop with amazing food and wonderful service.
Alcove Market
One of my favorite coffee shops in Charleston, Alcove Market offers impeccable food and coffee with indoor and outdoor seating.
The Daily
A homey coffee shop/restaurant with a wonderful outdoor seating area. The menu is delicious, and it’s perfect for grabbing a coffee before shopping at Wynsum Antiques & Interiors.
Mercantile & Mash
With an industrial feel, this large shop offers a wonderful menu and fresh food. It’s a great place to grab a bite and chat. Such a cool vibe and parking lot makes this a convenient and
Bars and Nightlife

Saltwater Cowboys
Located on Shem Creek, this casual spot offers great vibes, convenient parking, and a fun crowd. It’s dog-friendly and perfect for a beachy party atmosphere.
Henry’s
One of the most popular bars in Charleston, Henry’s offers multiple rooms, live music, and a fun atmosphere. It’s a go-to spot for spring and fall breaks.
Reds
Right next to Saltwater Cowboys, Reds offers a similar fun experience on Shem Creek. Great atmosphere, lots of TV’s always playing sports and has a restaurant inside.
Salty Mike’s
Located at the Marina Variety Store Restaurant, Salty Mike’s offers a chill bar experience with pool tables, games, and a fun crowd. It’s dog-friendly with both indoor and outdoor seating.
Prohibition
A restaurant and bar downtown on King St with a DJ and lively atmosphere.
The Dispensary
Next to Prohibition, The Dispensary offers live music, a DJ, and plenty of TVs and booths.
Fun Activities
Home Team BBQ
A fun, electric place to hang out, grab drinks, and watch sports. It has both indoor and outdoor seating and is one of my favorite spots.
Walk the Ravenel Bridge
Perfect for a scenic walk with friends, taking pictures, or getting some exercise. The views are stunning, and there are parking options on both the Charleston and Mount Pleasant sides.
Sullivan’s Island
A charming spot with multiple beach access points. Spend the day on the beach or explore the cute town.
Watch the Sunrise on Sullivan’s Island
Highly recommended! Grab your friends and head to Sullivan’s Island for a beautiful sunrise. There’s public parking at the corner of Middle St & Jasper Blvd.
